(KENORA, ON) – KENORA OPP ARREST MAN FOR BREAK AND ENTER AT RESTAURANT.
Appearing this morning, Saturday February 9,2019 via telephone from the Kenora OPP Station in Bail Courtroom 104 is 21 year old JOSH MOORE
It’s W.A.S.H. (Weekend And Statutory Holiday) Court today. His Worship, Justice of the Peace Bernard Caron is presiding. Provincial Crown Derrick Silvestro is here along with Duty Counsels Lianne Roberge and 2 Lakehead Law Students.
MOORE was arrested by OPP last evening for allegedly breaking and entering the Log Cabin Tavern on Rabbit Road in Kenora on February 6,2019.
He’s also facing 2 breach of undertaking charges. One for possessing alcohol on February 6/19 and the other for not residing in Rat Portage as required.
His previous criminal allegations include Obstructing Justice on August 12,2018 and failing to attend court on November 28,2018.
Luckily for the public, Duty Counsel lawyer Lianne Roberge is working today. The young and fairly inexperienced lawyer is unable to get him released. She stutters a bit and then requests a Section 517 publication ban. This means that any evidence or reasons given at an actual bail hearing cannot be published. She does this at almost all her court appearances.
MOORE will spend the weekend in jail at a minimum. He has a court appearance in Kenora Bail Court on Monday February 11,2019.
