Break and Enter, Stolen Firearm and Three Arrests.


(KENORA, ON) On Sunday, February 3, 2019 the Kenora OPP received a complaint of a theft from a vehicle on Lake of the Woods near French Portage Narrows.


Upon further investigation, it was determined a cottage was broken into in the area of Chapel Island and firearms were stolen.

As a result of this investigation, three adult males have been charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code of Canada:

  • Theft under $5,000, Section 334(b)
  • Break and Enter and steal a Firearm, Section 98(1)(b)
  • Possession of a firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime, Section 96(a)
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon, Section 91(1)

On Thursday, February 7, 2019 police recovered the outstanding stolen firearm.

They will appear in Kenora court today, February 8th, 2019 to answer to the charges.


We are working hard to uncover the names of these three suspects.

  1. If they don’t want there names out there then they shouldn’t have a choice if there names get put out. Stop doing the crimes but the ones who do the crime I would want to know there names so we the people know who to watch for.
