(KENORA, ON) โ€“ A sad situation unfolded in Kenora on October 6th, when police ended up investigating the death of a male.


57-year-old Steven Young has been charged with second-degree murder.

Justice of the Peace, Bernard Caron was presiding, along with Crown Attorney Rob Kozak and duty counsel lawyer Lianne Roberge.

Due to this matter being a section 469 type of offence, Young will be automatically detained and placed directly in front of a judge.

Young was remanded into custody pending an October 9th court appearance in Kenora.


He was sent back to his cell to await prisoner transport to the Kenora District Jail, where he will await his October 9th court date.

    1. WOW. I actually hired this dude this past summer – for 2 days to do yard work, he came to the door with a rake in hand asking for work. Did ok the first day (4 hours) returned the following, then suddenly just said – I have to go to church.. a strange fella that one.

      I’m actually a Young, and while I haven’t seen Steven in 25 years (at least), from everything I’ve heard, this rings true.
      Hopefully this will be a turning point for him to get the help he needs, while incarcerated.
      My heart hurts tonight for the family of the man who was taken away.

    3. especially selling drugs to youth and he murder him he always had a problem with his caretaker and that he couldn’t make money from his drugs…. I hate this guy I hope they lock him for a long time hes a woman beater and a cold hearted murder… but yeah it was sad what he did to the old next door to him when he doesn’t deserve anything to him for being to everyone including him ( steve R.
