(SIOUX LOOKOUT, ON) – SIOUX LOOKOUT OPP ARREST ALLEGED DRUG DEALER FOR BREACHING BAIL CONDITION AND COMMITTING ASSAULT.
A 21 year old EMERY SOUTHWIND appeared by telephone in W.A.S.H. (Weekend And Statutory Holiday) Court on Sunday February 10, 2019 from the Sioux Lookout OPP Station.
His Worship, Bernard Caron is presiding. Federal Crown Ron Poirier is here along with Duty Counsel Lianne Roberge and two second year law students from Lakehead University.
Sioux Lookout OPP arrested SOUTHWIND last evening for an alleged assault on another male.
SOUTHWIND was on tight bail conditions from a 2017 drug bust.
SOUTHWIND isn’t interested in speaking to Duty Counsel Roberge. He has lawyer John Bilton from Kenora.
Because it’s a Federal prosecution, a Federal Crown is required. The earliest bail court date for SOUTHWIND is on Wednesday February 13, 2019 in Dryden.
He’s remanded in custody until then.
