(THUNDER BAY, ON) – According to the City of Thunder Bay, road construction and storm sewer work on Arthur Street, from Leland Avenue to James Street, begins the week of July 2.
The work will include the construction of storm sewer and pavement restoration on the north side of Arthur Street. It will also include trench activity and pipe installation in westbound traffic lanes, and repaving to the centre of the road.
Arthur Street will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction, and diverted to the south side of the road. There will be left-turn restrictions.
Construction is expected to take up to five weeks to complete.
Motorists are asked to use extra caution and obey all posted signage when travelling near the construction area.
