Inside Edition has learned from sources that 30 year old RYAN MILTON WINTERS was released on bail today.

WINTERS appeared in Courtroom 103 this morning before Her Worship Justice of the Peace Zelda Kitchekeesic. He’s represented by local lawyer Gilbert Labine.

WINTERS is just under 6 feet tall and about 200 lbs in weight.

WINTERS is alleged to have committed a bloody and violent attack on a senior citizen who was shovelling snow on Monday February 4,2019 around 6:30pm at the 200 block of McKellar Street. WINTERS is alleged to have then ran around the block to a home on the 200 block of Vickers and smash a window out of the home.

Inside Edition spoke to family members who state their loved one, an elderly victim, was left with missing teeth, a concussion, cuts requiring stitches and other injuries after a random and unprovoked attack. The attack was witnessed partially by a loved one.

WINTERS has 2 criminal convictions for impaired driving in 2012 & 2017.

According to a jailhouse source, another inmate who befriended WINTERS in jail, tells the Inside Edition that WINTERS admitted to him that he was on a cocaine, opiate and alcohol fuelled high when he attacked the senior repeatedly kicking him in the head.

There was a publication ban issued on evidence and reasons given at the bail hearing.

But ultimately, Justice of the Peace Zelda Kitchekeesic decides that RYAN MILTON WINTERS can be released on $4000 no deposit recognizance with a surety.  $1000 is to be pledged by the accused.  $3000 is to be pledged by his mother.

WINTERS has been ordered to stay away from his alleged victims.

WINTERS must reside at his apartment in the 100 block of South Algoma with his mother. He’s on virtual house arrest conditions.

Seniors on South Algoma might want to take note.

7 Replies to “Alleged Senior Citizen Attacker Released”

  1. With his background, he’ll be back. Hopefully in jail for a longer time.
“Of course Mama’s gonna help build a wall.”
Mother did he need to “be so high”?

  2. Such a good mother.Guess her son will find work someday.
Good luck to the old timer.Feel sorry for him.

  3. Sorry to say this for you folks who might not agree with me but the Judges and Justices have to stop letting these vicious animals out on bail, surety or whatever else it might be called. As for being released in his mother’s care, that’s ridiculous too. He probably was in her care when this happened and this onus should not be put on her. As you parents out there know you can only do so much with these kids and it would make things much easier on her if they left him in jail and besides which it would give him more time to think about his actions. Maybe in jail he could get some much needed help. Good luck with that one Mom I believe you will need it. Hoping the victim gets healed with the least amount of pain possible. Remember folks of Thunder Bay, that could be any one of our grandfathers, fathers, uncles, brothers, etc.

  4. This POS still relies on his mommy to take care of him. Maybe it’s time to grow up! I hope he meets someone that treats him just like he treats the elderly!

  5. What will it take for our justice system to dole out proper justice?

The senior citizen who was severely beaten is likely still suffering from his injuries and this creep is let loose.

What would have happened to this animal had he beaten up a judge, lawyer, cop or other prominent citizen? Rest assured, he wouldn’t be going home with momma. He’d be held until tried and sentenced. It seems that if you’re not a part of the “good ol boys & gals” justice system, you don’t matter.

Time to put pressure on our politicians to look into our failing justice system in Thunder Bay.
