(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Our tipline was lit up late this afternoon with information about a truck that left the highway and ended up on it’s roof south of town.
Ontario Provincial Police, Superior North EMS, and Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responded to the scene that occurred on Highway 61, directly out front of the entrance to the Thunder Bay Correctional Centre.
One man was sent to hospital with unknown injuries after escaping with his life after the vehicle he was driving ended tits up in the south side ditch. He was seen walking around after the collision.
The incident occurred shortly before 4:00 pm today. Our tipline recieved information that the truck was smoking after the incident.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue Firefighters quickly cooled the situation, and stopped the smoke that was emanating.
