(THUNDER BAY, ON) – On August 17, 2019, at approximately 5:08 p.m., officers from the Shabaqua Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a possible impaired driver on Highway 11.

Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Officers spoke with the driver and determined that the driver had been consuming alcohol.

The driver was arrested and further tests were conducted.

Julie LEMIEUX-SAVARD, 41 years of age, from Thunder Bay, was arrested and charged with:

  • Operate a Motor Vehicle While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80 mgs of Alcohol contrary to section 320.14(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.

LEMIEUX-SAVARD is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on August 26, 2019 to answer to the charge.

Do you realize I barely blew over and the reason the pulled me over was because I had 2 friggin beers at my camp site earlier that day and someone called on me. 😑So they had to do a breathalizer I thought I was good to drive after waiting 2 hours to go home. Make me out to be a friggin criminal and steal my pic off my Facebook. You are a jerk. How come you didn’t post about the women who hung her self in ***** ****’s basement and was high on crack that he more then likely sold her.
