(THUNDER BAY, ON) – An overnight overdoses has happened in the city’s north side around 1:00 am.
We have received information about a male that overdosed at the playground located at Marina Park.
The male was located in an unconscious state. After being brought back to consciousness, the male was taken to the hospitals emergency room for further assessment.
Health officials recommend that drug users don’t use drugs alone and have a Narcan kit on hand. It is also recommended that users take turns using drugs and only use a little amount when first testing their fresh batch of drugs.
Narcan is a life saving drug that temporarily reverses symptoms of an opiate overdose. You can obtain a free Narcan kit from most pharmacies. Ask your pharmacist today for your free kit.
