(THUNDER BAY, ON) -A south side neighbourhood was rattled this afternoon, as an area blaze ran its course.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue got a 911 call about a fire that was raging in behind “FIX4LESS”, very close to some trees and a transport trailer.
Upon arrival, fire crews discovered two vehicles that were engulfed in flames, and quickly went to work suppressing the inferno. The fire seems suspicious, according to people on the scene.
A short time after the battle began, the fire was under control and ultimately extinguished. The scene was cleared by Thunder Bay Fire Rescue shortly before 3:00 pm.
The area had multiple civilians observing the scene.. TRCCTB would like to remind the public to keep a safe distance when fire crews are working, to ensure their focus on the task at hand, and to make sure everyone stays safe.
