AN 18 YEAR OLD VISITOR TO THUNDER BAY ALLEGEDLY ASSAULTS THUNDER BAY POLICE OFFICER.
An 18 year old MIRANDA MAY WHITEHEAD appeared by video in W.A.S.H. (Weekend And Statutory Holiday) Court on Sunday May 13,2018 from the TBPS Balmoral Station.
WHITEHEAD has long straight messy hair and is wearing dark clothing.
His Worship, Bernard Caron is presiding. Provincial Crown Jane Ann McGill is here along with Duty Counsel Arturo Acosta.
The Court hears allegations that WHITEHEAD was arrested last evening by Thunder Bay Police Services for assaulting a female police officer.
The Court hears she has 2 outstanding charges in Thunder Bay as well as 2 other charges from the Webequie Indian Reserve.
Crown Attorney McGill is not consenting to her release. Duty Counsel Acosta informs the court that WHITEHEAD has a place to go stay at 777 Kingsway. This information doesn’t change the Crown’s position. Acosta requests the matter be put over to Tuesday May 15,2018 to appear by video from the Correctional Centre.
The Real Concerned Citizens news media is in court today. Always good to see them out and informing the community of real news. There is no other media is present.
As usual, the Director of Communications at TBPS has not put out a news release regarding an officer being assaulted yet. I don’t think he will put one out either. Inside Edition sources indicate he received his job for being related to someone.
Another good job by Thunder Bay Police Services Officers.
And I think it’s just another crappy job by the Director of Communications
