(THUNDER BAY, ONT) – International Overdose Awareness Day is this Friday at City Hall.
The event is a day to remember those who have lost their lives and to those whos lives have been impacted by drug overdoses.
It is also a day to acknowledge that recovery is possible and support systems are available to help.
There will be an overdose awareness tree where people could tie their messages onto hearts and doves to hang on the branches. Pictures and banners of loved ones are also welcome.
Overdose prevention education will be available along with free naloxone kits.
Light refreshments and snacks will also be available, everyone is welcome.
