(MANITOBA) – Have you ever been late for church? Perhaps considered speeding as a means to compensate for your poor ability to manage time effectively?
One male in Manitoba was nailed by police going 161 kilometres per hour in a minivan. The guy claimed he was headed to church.
RCMP got the speeder on radar in a construction zone on Highway 16. The speed limit was reduced to 60km/h during the time of this incident.
This put all the workers that were present on the job site in danger, as well as all the vehicles on the roadway, including the speeder.
RCMP fined the man $2694 plus handed him a Serious Offence Notice.
There is no excuse for this behaviour or speed. Drive safe so that you and other may return home tonight to their families. Speed kills, be smart, be safe.
